The session time for all ball games includes up to 5 minutes for the setting up of the activity.
At Castle Leisure Centre basketball, 5-a-side football and walking football can all be played within the sports hall.
Basketball
- Up to 2 courts are available to hire at any one time within the main sports hall
- Each basketball session is 45 minutes long
- Recommended 6 people maximum per court
- Players must bring their own basketball
- Spectators can view the basketball courts from the first floor balcony
5-a-side football
- Up to 1 court is available to hire at any one time within the main sports hall

Walking football
- Walking football is played at walking pace with players not allowed to run.
- Tackling is allowed but there must be no contact
- Players are provided with footballs
- Spectators can view the basketball courts from the first floor balcony
Taking part in ball games at Castle
- Pre-book online (recommended) or on arrival at the centre
- Members can book up to 7 days in advance
- Pay as you go customers can book up to 5 days in advance
