Can I download the app on my Android phone?
Yes, you can download it from the Google Play Store. We recommend that your Phone is updated to run the most up-to-date Android version your phone supports (min version 8).
Can I download the app on my iPhone?
Yes, you can download it from the Apple App Store. We recommend that your iPhone is updated to run the most up-to date IOS version your phone supports.
What do I need to search for in the app store?
Search 'Bury Leisure', you will see the Bury Leisure logo.
Can I buy a membership or change my membership in the app?
No, you can do this via our website.
Can I create an account in the app?
No, you make a booking via our online booking system, then you can create an account that can be used in the app.
Can I access my swimming courses in the app?
No, you should continue to use our website.
How do I use the entry QR code?
- Open the app before you get to the turnstile/entry gate
- Login if you need to (the fastest way of doing this is with your fingerprint or faceID)
- Select 'Entry'
- If the time underneath the QR code is within 5 seconds wait for it to refresh
- Hold the phone near the scanner. Wait for the green light or the beep
Troubleshooting tips
If the QR code won't scan
- Try increasing the mobile phone screen brightness
- Wait for the QR code to expire by looking at the timer displayed on screen
- Re-enter the 'Entry' page or the app will reset the QR code
- Ask a member of staff to check for access restrictions on the account
If the app won't download
- Make sure you are on Wifi when first downloading the app
- Check whether your device requires any updates, if so, install them and try installing the app again
- Ensure the mobile device has enough memory to install the app
- Logout of the app store, log back in, and try downloading the app again
If the app has downloaded but it won't load
- Make sure you are connected to Wifi when you download the app
- Check whether your device requires any updates, if it does, update them and try installing the app again
- Delete the app and re-download the app from the Google play or Apple app store
If you've downloaded the app but can't login
- Try selecting 'Account' to access the login screen
- Go to the booking website and login
- Navigate to the login screen and click forgotten password, then complete the reset password process and try logging in again
