Venue hire at Castle

Castle Leisure Centre is the largest and most versatile of our centres within a short distance from Bury town centre and close to local transport links.

The centre can accommodate many different types of one-off or regular bookings. that require a generous area and tiered seating for large numbers of spectators.  

The sports hall 

The large sports hall can accommodate many uses and can be hired for local and national events, either sporting or non-sporting, such as for boxing, dancing, karate, cricket, netball, football and school sports days. Recruitment fairs, conferences, exhibitions and themed birthday parties can also be provided for.

For children’s parties:

• You hire the hall and arrange your own activity for up to 30 children
• Cost is £30 per hour
• The option of a food area for your after-party food and drink is available at an extra cost of £25.50 for 1 hour

Please note: We do not provide food or drink but you can bring your own and we will clean up afterwards.

The main swimming pool

The main pool with extensive tiered seating is particularly suitable for swimming galas,  water sport competitions and sports club training sessions.  

The teaching pool

The smaller and shallower teaching pool is a safe venue for children's swimming pool fun parties with fully qualified lifeguards present.

• Suitable for children aged up to 10 years old
• A maximum of 35 people in the pool, including adults (Pool Admission Policy applies for children under 10 years old)
• Floats and toys are provided or you can bring your own
• Cost is £50 at time of booking (price includes 60 minutes in the pool with 10 minutes either side to get changed
• The option of a food area for your after-party food and drink is available at an extra cost of £25.50 for 1 hour

Events room

Situated on the ground floor, close to the entrance area, the events room has climate control with smart meeting capability and a touch screen multimedia TV.
